The great thing about these face masks are they are only 89p each. Not bad at all right? Do not let the price put you off at all though, the price doesn't affect the quality at all. I've been using these for the past month and my skin is so soft and smooth from using them.
You can find these in Boots, Superdrug and most cosmetics stores.

Have you used 7th Heaven face masks before and which one is your favorite?

The 5 Things I'm Really Bad At Even As A Beauty Blogger

The 5 Things I'm Really Bad At Even As A Beauty Blogger | Tea And Beauty

Over the past month or two I have noticed that even though I sit here and talk beauty with you guys, there are things I am actually terrible at doing myself.
There seems to be this thing where people assume beauty bloggers are perfect and they do everything your supposed to do, and while that may be the case for other beauty bloggers, I am not that person.

Moisturising after a bath/shower
Isn't this like the number one rule when you get out the bath or the shower?
Well if it is I'm screwed! I only really do this like half the time, why? I simply can't be bothered mostly, which sounds terrible. Winter is the worst and yet that's probably the most important time maybe with how much damage our skin takes from the cold. But the thing is it's lovely and warm in the water but as soon as I get out I'm blooming freezing and just want to get dressed.

Nails
I actually used to be really good at this one, as soon as my polish chipped I'd remove it and repaint.
These days though I can go about a week without even painting them. I think the problem is I spend more time removing it as it chips so easy, that I almost feel like what's the point?
But I want pretty nails, so I may actually start making more of an effort with this one.

Weekly hair masks
I very rarely do this, probably once a month and that's only because I happen to remember.
I will say though that my hairdresser has said many time's what good condition my hair is in and how quickly it grows, so it can't be all that bad now can it?
I have just brought some argan oil hair treatment, you leave this in for 10 minutes to an hour before washing your hair and it's supposed to leave your hair silky and smooth so fingers crossed it works.

Moisturising my hands
Now I am terrible at this! I have so many hand creams lying round the house that I actually shouldn't have an excuse for this, but the thing is I just generally forget. Apparently your hands are supposed to look older than we actually are by not moisturising them, and I can say i think this is true by the look of mine. They certainly do not look like my Nan's hands or anything but they do slightly look older and drier compared to my arm say. I must try doing this more often, even if it's just before bedtime.

Looking after my lips
I cleanse, tone and moisturise every day and night, exfoliate once or twice a week depending on whether my skin needs it or not. My lips however I don't really look after. I actually have the Lush lip scrub but I rarely use it - and I wonder why I get such dry lips! Over the past few weeks I have been using a lot more lip balm to try and combat this but I really need to add the scrub to it as well, hopefully it will do them some good.

Is there anything you forget to do?
Let me know by leaving your comments below, I always look forward to reading them.

My Tips For A Good Night's Sleep

My Tips For A Good Night's Sleep | Tea And Beauty

If you are anything like me getting a good night's sleep can be hard. I tend to wake up a few times during the night or it can take me a while to even get to sleep, just lying there hoping I fall off soon.
I have however over the last few weeks tweaked my bedtime routine with positive results.

Every adult needs 6-9 hours of sleep a night, and sometimes this can be hard. You really do need to take some time during the evenings to really wind down for the night after a long day.

1. Don't drink to much caffeine after 5pm
I usually only have one cup of tea in the evenings, this is usually about 8pm but that is the only one I have, if I have anything else to drink I will make myself a cup of hot chocolate with milk, which is said to aid sleep.
Caffeine will keep you awake if you drink to much.

2. Try some gentle exercise before bed
Gentle exercise is great for helping with a good night's sleep, make sure it's not to vigorous though, I'm talking some gentle yoga, stretching the muscles will help with relaxing your muscles and will help stop getting that uncomfortable feeling in your legs that you can sometimes get.

3. Take a warm bath
A warm bath (not hot) will help your body reach a temperature that is ideal for rest. Plus it is super relaxing, and lets be honest do we really need another reason to reach for them gorgeous Lush products?

4. Write everything down
Writing a to-do list for the next day or writing all your worries down before bed will help take them off your mind and help you drift off to sleep quicker.

5. Read a book
I love reading before bed it helps to really relax me and to be honest I usually find myself nearly falling asleep whilst reading. This really relaxes the mind.

6. Lavender sprays and balms
I use a lavender spray on my pillow and a balm which I rub on my pulse points on my wrists and on my temples. I have found by using these it has really helped me fall asleep faster. Spray the pillow mist onto your pillow at least 10 minutes before you actually go to bed so it has time to dry.

7. Keep it clean
By keeping your bedroom clean and smelling fresh this will also help you sleep better. De-clutter your room and it takes a big weight off your mind.

8. Invest in an eye mask
These really are great at keeping the light out, especially during the summer months. It's a bit weird at first but you soon get used to it and I promise you will be glad you started using one.

9. Blackout curtains are your friend
We have always had these unlined curtains in our bedroom and unfortunately in the spring and summer the light comes pouring through them, so I have recently got some blackout curtains. This was the best thing I ever did. I got mine from Amazon for just £22.50. We have Amazon Prime as well so they were delivered the very next day. I have been sleeping so much better since having these up as they really do block out so much of the sunlight.

Do you struggle to sleep to? What tips do you have for getting a good nights sleep? Let me know your thought's in the comments below.

Rimmel Lipstick In Rossetto by Kate Moss

Rimmel Rossetto by Kate Moss | Tea And Beauty

Over the past few weeks I have become rather obsessed with lipsticks, in the past I have usually opted for a tinted lip balm but recently I have wanted a bit more colour with it being Spring and with Summer looming ahead, and wow there are just so many different colours and I just want them all.

I picked this beauty up a few weeks ago and have been using quite a bit actually, it is great if you want a lovely colour but you don't want something bright and brash. This lipstick is from Rimmel's Kate Moss range in shade Rossetto.

Rimmel Rossetto by Kate Moss | Tea And Beauty

It is a stunning pinky/peach colour and it is perfect for spring. It is very well pigmented so you can get away with just the one coat even after blotting. The only thing I find with this is it isn't the best at lasting, even though it's from the lasting finish range. Which kind of sucks, especially after I raved about how long my Maybelline Magnetic Magenta lipstick lasted even after eating and drinking.
I just found that I was having to re-apply a few times throughout the day even if I was just drinking from a water bottle.

Rimmel Rossetto by Kate Moss | Tea And Beauty

Even though it doesn't seem to last to long I am still glad I picked this one up, it is a really lovely colour and it's nice to find a colour like this that actually suits my horrible pale skin, I really do struggle sometimes with finding lipsticks that suit me, just when you find a colour you like - it looks awful against my skin. The great thing is as well is that Rossetto is just £5.49 from Boots, if you spend £9 on Rimmel products you get a free gift at the moment so even if you don't get this colour, it's still an excuse to go treat yourself to some new make up right?!

What do you think to this shade? Leave your comments below and I look forward to reading them.

The Benefits Of Green Tea

The Benefits Of Green Tea

As you can probably tell from the name of my blog and if you follow me on Instagram - I love tea!
These last couple of month's - much to my partner's distaste, I have been really getting into green tea and what's even better is I know just how good it is for me. I have been cutting back on the amount I eat recently and am really wanting to step up my fitness routine, I always hit my 10,000 steps Monday-Friday, but anything else helps right? So as I've been drinking green tea so much it got me wanting to write a post about all it's benefits.

Green tea is actually probably one of the best and healthiest things you can drink, it is jam packed with anti-oxidents and nutrients that will help with fat loss, it helps your brain function and also will help lower the risk of cancer.

When looking at fat burning supplements I have noticed that green tea is one of the ingredients and it's not hard to see why, green tea helps to burn fat and it can speed up your metabolic rate but this does depend on the individual.

The anti-oxidents in green tea can help to reduce breast cancer, prostate cancer and even colorectal cancer. This will only have full effect though if you drink it without milk. It can also help defend your brain against dementia and parkinson's disease.

Type II diabetes is definitely on the rise over the last few years, drinking green tea can help to reduce the risk of getting this disease by nearly 50%. Green tea kills bacteria to, which can lead to having better smelling breath.

Heart attacks and strokes along with cholesterol can all be reduced by drinking green tea. It could even help you live longer.

The Benefits Of Green Tea

Want to feel better in your self and help your body become healthier? I really do suggest drinking green tea, even just one cup everyday will do wonders for you over time.
If you aren't sure about the taste, why not try green tea with lemon from Clipper Tea's. This is actually what I drink everyday and it tastes amazing, plus lemons are also good for you, so win win!

Do you drink green tea? What other benefits of drinking green tea can you think of?

Benefit Gimme Brow

Benefit Gimme Brow

You may have recently seen all the hype over Benefit Cosmetic's new brow products, if you were anything like you may have been overly jealous of all these brilliant bloggers getting packages from Benefit. Come on how amazingly pretty was the packaging plus new brow products? Yes please!
Well I was crying over the fact I'd have to wait till near the end of the month to get my hands on them until Benefit launched a one day only pre-launch sale.

So taking full advantage, I swiftly at 8 o'clock in the morning whilst trying to do my make up and get dressed - which ended in a mad panic ending btw, put an order through for Gimme Brow. I went with shade medium as I have brunette hair.
This was the one product I had seen that really caught my eye. The thing is with me I prefer a more natural looking brow, I know a lot of girls like to draw their eyebrows on, and that's great each to their own, but mine just do not suit me doing that so this was the product for me.

Basically it is a tiny mascara looking wand and you run this through your brows for a more thicker looking brow. Let me tell you I did wonder how much this would actually work and really wow...
My eyebrows are quite thin and scraggly, this is probably the result of over plucking when I was younger so Cara Delevingne I am not. But running this through my brows made them stand out more and looking thicker. I went with running it against my hair first and then with my hairs for a good even coverage.

Benefit Gimme Brow

Benefit Gimme Brow

I know a lot of people say that £18.50 is a bit to much for this product and normally I would agree, however I love this that much that I am happy to pay this. I'm hoping it will last about 3 months, about the same time you have to chuck your mascara out so if that works out right then £18.50 every 3 months isn't that bad really.

The Benefit Cosmetics full range is out on the 24th June. If there is only one you get though I recommend Gimme Brow.

Are you one of the blogger's who got this early? What are your first impressions and will you be buying any of these products when they come out?

Rimmel - Gold Record Eye Shadow

Rimmel - Gold Record Eye Shadow

I've been looking for a gold eye shadow for a while now, neutral tones really tend to suit me so I wanted something that was quite a light colour and not to blingy, I have certainly found that in Rimmel's Gold Record. It is a beautiful light gold colour.

It looks quite sparkly but in actual fact when it is on the eye it really isn't sparkly. The colour is quite pigmented and it last's very well throughout the day, I never have to top the colour up that's for sure.
The colour doesn't crease either, which is a big thing for me, I don't know about anyone else but I really hate it when I do my make up and I'm leaving the house feeling amazing and half an hour later you look in the mirror and your eye shadow has really creased. No-one wants that right?

Rimmel - Gold Record Eye Shadow

Rimmel - Gold Record Eye Shadow

Rimmel - Gold Record Eye Shadow

This comes at a great price too, I got this from Boots for just £4.49! Amazing right? Less than a fiver for a great little eye shadow. I do find with Rimmel though that their products are on the cheaper side but they certainly do not skimp on quality.

Have you tried this colour out yet? What are your thought's on the brand and the colour?

The Tea & Beauty Book-club

Beautiful Broken Things

I've been thinking about doing this for a while now and after getting a bit of feedback the last few days I have decided to go right ahead and start a book-club.

Each month we will have a different book to read throughout the month and then during the last week of the month we will have a Twitter chat using the hashtag #TeaAndBeautyBookclub. Also during that last week everyone involved will then write their own blog post about the book. This way we can go into much more detail about our thoughts and also share our thoughts on the book with our readers. I will have an inlinkz set up so we can all add our links and include it in our posts that way we can all share our posts with each other and our readers.
I'm hoping this might be a good way of getting all our amazing blogs out there even more.

Beautiful Broken Things

The Book-club will start on the 1st of July and our first book will be Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard. If you need to buy this book I have put a link in my sidebar so you can buy it straight from Amazon for £5.19 or click here.
This is a beautiful story of the power and complexities of female friendship. I'm sure we have all had friends that have been there through everything or even a friend who has broken our hearts, which is why I think this is a good one to start with. I've had my eye on this book since I saw it in the book store in March.

Who is joining in with the bookclub? Share with your friends and get more people involved. This won't be just for bloggers, anyone can be involved and read along and join our Twitter chat.

Maybelline Magnetic Magenta Lipstick

Maybelline Magnetic Magenta

If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen I got a little make-up haul from Boots the other week. This lipstick was one of the products I brought and it is very fast becoming my favourite and my go to lip colour for spring/summer.

It is a big beautiful bold bright pink colour, it goes on your lips extremely well. I remember watching my mum getting ready for a night out once when I was a kid and seeing her blotting her lips with tissue after both coats, that has stuck with me and I do that myself now. I know a lot of people that don't and I find it really helps keep your lipstick on for longer. This lipstick however doesn't really need much help in the staying department, it is fantastic for that. I can apply it in the morning and eat and drink through out the morning and I will still see the colour on my lips come lunch time.

Maybelline Magnetic Magenta

Maybelline Magnetic Magenta

This is very pigmented and it the perfect colour for summer. It isn't to expensive either coming in at £6.99 from boots. If you are after a bright bold colour for the summer month's I would definitely recommend this one it is truly beautiful.

What are your thought's on this colour? Do you have this lipstick? Leave your thought's in the comments below.

Book Review: Sleepless In Manhattan

Sleepless In Manhattan

I picked this up wanting to have something to read on the plane to New York, never having read a book by Sarah Morgan this sounded like my sort of read. I love a good chick flick book, especially when spring/summer hits, there really isn't anything better right?

Paige has checked off everything on her perfect New York life checklist, except one, the ultimate New York romance...

Cool, calm and competent, events planner Paige Walker loves a challenge. But when she looses the job she loves, Paige must face her biggest challenge of all - going it alone.

Except launching her own events company is nothing compared to hiding her crush on Jake Romano - her brothers best friend, one of New York's most eligible bachelors...and the only man who's ever broken her heart.

When Jake offers Paige's fledgling company a big chance, the ever present chemistry between them starts giving her sleepless nights. But could Paige be the girl to make the man who trusts no-one take a chance on forever?

Sleepless In Manhattan

My Review

This was a great, easy read and I found it very detailed, you could always picture what was happening and where it was happening. The characters where all very likable and I felt myself rooting for all of them. This is your typical it all works out great in the end story but everything that happens to get there is great and fun to read. The thing that surprised me was there was some love scenes shall we say in the book, and they were actually quite detailed, not quite in a 50 Shades Of Grey way but you were still told everything that was happening. I actually liked that though and I think that was why it was a nice surprise, I've read to many girly love stories where the authors almost skip past that part even though you know what's happening.
The three girls that the book really centers around are all fantastic character's, in fact they are three girls I would love to actually be friends with.
Sarah Morgan is a great author and I will certainly be looking to pick up more of her books. In the mean time I definitely recommend this book, it's so good that I have already pre-ordered the next two books in this series - Sunset In Central Park (released July 14th) and Miracle On 5th Street (released October 20th). So still plenty of time to get this one read in time for book two to come out. I found myself flying through this book and actually finished it in three days.

Have you read this book yet? If so what where your thought's?

My Trip To New York Part 2!

My trip to New York

So if you read my last post - My trip to New York Part 1 then you will hopefully be looking forward to part 2. This post will be about The Statue Of Liberty, Top Of The Rock and even a spot about Bloomingdale's.

Sunday morning we were up early and going to catch the ferry to The Statue of Liberty. To be fair I wasn't really expecting to much, I thought "it's just a statue, right?" we'll be here about an hour tops. Actually I turned out to be wrong!
The Statue Of Liberty ended up being my favorite thing to see in New York, maybe because it exceeded my expectations so much. The island was absolutely beautiful and the view of the New York skyline from there was truly beautiful. Even the statue it's self was a sight to see.
It turns out it's not just a statue, after we spent the best part of probably 45 minutes just looking out at the New York view and getting pictures, we ventured over to the Statue.
Inside the statue there is actually a museum with the history of the statue, why it came to be there and how it was built etc. We had gotten tickets for the crown so we could go all the way up. We manged to get an elevator up to the pedestal part and spend a few minutes out there too.
However you then have to walk the next 200+ steps up the the crown, now if you are afraid of being closed in I suggest you don't get tickets to the crown, the steps leading up are extremely narrow, winding and steep. We literally only just fit up there ourselves, By the time we got up to the top both our legs where shaking as there is that many steps and it's that steep. But the view is definitely worth it once you are up there. Coming down I think was worse, I was worried one slip of my foot and I would be gone, but as you can tell I'm still here.

The Statue Of Liberty

We also went to the Top Of The Rock that afternoon, which was in my opinion better than The Empire State Building. It was much roomier, there was glass walls so you could see everything more clearer and you had this amazing view of Central Park from there. There was a seating area in the middle so you could sit and look out over the view.

Top Of The Rock

Top Of The Rock

Bloomingdale's was the one place I didn't get a picture of but that was mostly down to the fact it was so mega busy in there. It was so posh looking and everything you think it will be.
I love the fact that if you are a visitor to the city they give you a card that gives you 10% off anything in store and if you spend over $500 then you also get a free gift.
I went in there with the sole purpose of buying myself a handbag. I was torn between Micheal Kors and Kate Spade but after seeing just how pretty all the Kate Spade bags were I just had to go with one of those. I brought the Cedar Street bag in sky blue, it was hard to chose they were all so pretty.

Well that pretty much sums up my trip to New York, have you been to New York? What was your favorite thing to do there?
