Bagsy Beauty Cosmetic Bag

Bagsy Beauty Cosmetic Bag

How amazing is this make up bag? I have had my eye on it for a while...well since it first came out really but there was always something else I needed more. However as I am going to New York at the end of May I need something that will hold all the make up I want to take. I currently have all my make up in a big pink No7 box which is rather impractical to take for just three nights.

So I finally decided to grab it and I'm so glad that I did. It is actually bigger than I thought it would be and it's just so darn cute. It is a great wipe clean material, perfect for cleaning if you happen to get a bit of make up on it and it has the Bagsy wording imprinted onto the zip.

Bagsy Beauty Cosmetic Bag

I love this brand they are so bright and fun and as with most of their make up range (minus the lip cocoons) everything has a little quote which I simply love and this is no exception. I actually wasn't expecting one so I was so happy when I opened it up and inside there it was...

Bagsy Beauty Cosmetic Bag

The good thing about this bag as I said not only is it wipe clean but it's good thick material. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap at all, it even looks expensive and who doesn't love Flamingo's?
The Bagsy Cosmetic Bag was £15.00 and totally worth the money. If you love pretty bags and Flamingo's go and buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

Bagsy Wow Lips In Cocktail Hour

Bagsy Wow Lips - Cocktail Hour

I have finally gotten around to buying a red lipstick, I have always shyed away from red due to my pale skin but this year one of my beauty goals was to find a red lipstick that suited me.
Since Bagsy Beauty came out last year I have instantly fallen in love with them, so now whenever I need a new lippy or anything I tend to go and look at what they have first. This time I came across Cocktail Hour and it is a beautiful shade of red indeed.

The first thing you notice with Bagsy along side their amazing quality products is the packaging!!
It is truly beautiful and something you actually want to get out and show off, each product and colour has a different design, they look fantastic in your make up bag. I also love the fact that most of their products have a beautiful little quote on them to. You can feel the time and love gone into their products.

Bagsy Wow Lips - Cocktail Hour

There was a few different shades of red but I decided to go with the brighter shade of red so I could then wear it all year round. I find with the darker reds come summer you don't really want to be wearing them. It is a great little chubby stick, perfect for drawing on your lips and thick enough for a great, steady hold.

Bagsy Wow Lips - Cocktail Hour

I actually found that even though it's a red lipstick it is quite 'buildable'. If you are drawing it on lightly then you can keep adding more for a subtle look or a bit of a bolder look if you so desire.
I have always found Bagsy's products to last quite a while to and this one is no exception - unless of course your having a drink etc then yes it will come off your lips a little quicker.
Being a chubby stick I didn't personally find the need for a lip liner but of course if you wanted to match up the colour by all means you can.

Bagsy Wow Lips - Cocktail Hour

I honestly can not recommend you checking out Bagsy Beauty enough if you haven't already, I truly love all their products, if only I was rich and could buy everything!

You can find Cocktail Hour on FeelUnique or in Debenhams Stores for £12.00.

What do you think to this red lipstick? Do you have it already? Let me know your thought's in the comments below.

Guest Post: Roxana Oliver - Vitamin Cocktail for Fresh Winter Skin

Vitamin Cocktail for Fresh Winter Skin

Winter wonderland is lovely, but it is a hazard for the skin. The cold weather and low humidity are
causing various issues from acne breakouts to itchy dry patches. Throughout winter months the skin can become tightened, dry, red and cracked and that is why, during this time, it is more important than ever to feed your skin with necessary nutrients. Some of the best nutrients you can provide to your skin both from the inside and from the outside are vitamins. They can keep your skin fresh, young, glowing and protected from harsh winter elements. Now let us mix up that beauty cocktail.

 Here are the ingredients.

Vitamin A

A is for anti-aging. It is an essential vitamin in charge for communicating with skin cells. Essentially, it reaches out to older cells and “tells” them to behave like younger cells. It is credited for smoothing out the skin roughness, reducing wrinkles and fading brown spots. Vitamin A is basically another name for retinol, a powerful antioxidant that can interrupt the damaging effect of free radicals, improve skin discoloration, boost collagen production and even neutralize acne and eczema. Because of that property it is often found in anti-aging products. If you want to include it into your diet, eat a lot of leafy greens, sweet potato, carrots, etc.

Vitamin Cocktail for Fresh Winter Skin

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is not only good when you catch a cold. It is actually quite useful nutrient for your skin. Not only this vitamin protects it from sun damage, but it also reduces the signs of aging it is a great addition to vitamin A. Because of its major role in collagen production, vitamin C can reduce fine lines and wrinkles and heal sun-damaged skin. If you take this vitamin orally, you can increase the effectiveness of sunscreen, and thus reduce the chance of sun damage. Many skincare products are packed with vitamin C. As for food, you can find it in the usual suspects, such as lemon and oranges, and in some lesser known like broccoli and peppers.

Vitamin Cocktail for Fresh Winter Skin

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is ideal for keeping your skin hydrated both from the inside and outside, during these harsh winter months. Similarly to previously mentioned vitamin C, this nutrient can contribute to protecting the skin from harmful sun rays, but also from other outer influences, such as pollution and tobacco smoke. It is used to treat skin inflammations, as an ingredient in sunscreens and in anti-aging products (especially for the neck). By browsing through a good vitamin shop online, you can easily find it in numerous supplements, products and in its natural form (nuts, spinach, tofu, etc.).

Vitamin Cocktail for Fresh Winter Skin

Vitamin K

Sometimes treated as the “underdog” of vitamins, vitamin K is actually very useful for number of things, especially for your skin. It can beat one of the most annoying skin problems caused by sleep deprivation, alcohol, stress, illness etc. – dark circles around the eyes. Though it is not proven that it can eliminate imperfections such as redness from rosacea and broken capillaries, it can contribute to their reduction. It is used as an ingredient for numerous skin care products (creams, masks, serums), but you can also find it in supplements. Natural sources of vitamin K are spring onions, basil, leafy green vegetables, kale, asparagus and others.

Vitamin Cocktail for Fresh Winter Skin

Though we can all agree that beauty comes from within, no one can deny that the skin is actually the
fingerprint of everything going on in your body. Winter can additionally challenge your skincare routine, so you should up your game during the colder months and boost your skincare routine with this glorious vitamin cocktail. Cheers!

Thank you Roxana for your very helpful post! I think we can all agree that eating right is what makes our skin glow and we all need that added boost about now.

Lush Valentines Bath Range

Lush Valentines Range

Valentines Day is only about three weeks away now and with that comes the Lush Valentines range.
I have picked up a couple of bits myself I decided to go with the Unicorn Horn bubble bar and Lover Lamp bath bomb.

I was very excited when I heard the Valentines range was out but to be honest I wasn't to fussed with the lip scrub as I recently brought one anyway, I have three of their soaps already and I don't need the lip balm either as I already have a thousand all lying around the house....somewhere! Plus I tend to get more use out of bath products anyway as Friday night is my pamper night. I chuck in some bath bombs or a bubble bar and have a good soak whilst watching Netflix and then on goes the face mask.

I had to buy the Unicorn Horn though, for many reasons really - I am obsessed with anything Unicorny, it's sooo pretty and it smells lovely just to name a few. Plus you can stick it on your head and pretend to be a Unicorn....No? Just me?
In this we have relaxing Lavendar Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil and Neroli Oil which is a lovely mood enhancing scent. So you can lie back and dream of Unicorns in the sky.
Unicorn Horn comes in at £4.95 each.

Lush Unicorn Horn

Up next is Lover Lamp, I got this due to the fact you are supposed to have the love hearts float around your bath when the bomb fizzes away. I am a sucker for things floating in my bath! This has a lovely clean smell and is infused with Brazilian Orange Oil and Fairtrade Vanilla Absolute. I love the smell of Vanilla so this was a must have for me.
Lover Lamp is just £3.95.

Lush Lover Lamp

So there you go, have a nice soak in a bath and smell heavenly on Valentines Day!

Have you ordered anything from Lush's Valentines Range, if so what did you get? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Guest Post: Freya Lowe - Simple & Easy Tips To Take Care Of Your Curly Locks

Simple & Easy Tips To Take Care Of Your Curly Locks

There are many women out there who have curly locks. Often they are unmanageable and tricky to take care of. If you keep them in the right way, they will definitely make you look good. So, let’s see some painless tips that will help you to take care of your curly hair.

Use shampoo often but not everyday
Many a times people make the mistake of using shampoo everyday. Doing so your hair gets deprived of the natural oils that it needs and it becomes dry and dull. When it comes to curly hair, it requires those essential natural oils and moisture to keep those curly hair healthy. So if you really want to take a shower, do it without using the shampoo by just using a conditioner.

Buy a better shampoo and conditioner
Research and studies shows that you need to use a good shampoo and conditioner for keeping your locks healthy. Conditioners have far more effect on your hair than shampoos. When properly used, it will help to keep your hair smooth and in good shape.

Trim regularly
When it comes to curly hairs, the chances of getting split ends are much more. So better keep your hair trimmed from time to time at regular intervals.

Hot oil treatment
In order to keep your hair and scalp moisturized and to retain natural oils, it is better to give hot oil treatments. You can do it once in a week or month. Keep the oil overnight and then wash it off using shampoo in the morning.

Use wide toothed comb
It is always better to use comb compared to brush when you have curly hair. Moreover, try to use combs that have wide tooth as it will help to untangle the hair easily.

Scrunch your hair
When your hair is wet, apply the scrunch gel and scrunch it. It will help you to retain the curls properly.

Use cotton t-shirt
For curly hairs, it is better to use a cotton t-shirt instead of a towel. It will even help to retain the shape of the curls.

Use a diffuser
If you are planning to dry your hair using a blower, better use a diffuser. It will help to evenly distribute air and heat to the different parts of the hair and thus will save it from becoming frizzy.

It is better to stick to a brand rather than changing every now and then. Apart from that, try to use different products from the same brand, like shampoos and conditioners. Remember that product that works well for one may not work for another person. So better try to identify what works for you and stick to it.

So, keep your curls healthy and show off it to your friends.

Collection Eyebrow Kit

Collection Eye-brow Palette

It's the year of the brow! So why not make them stand out and look amazing. I have been using an eyebrow pencil for a few years now but just recently I decided to change to a palette as I wanted a bit of a softer look. I find a pencil can be quite bold and shocking.

I went with the blonde palette instead of the brown, even though I have brown hair and eyebrows as the colour I wanted was right in that one. I use the light brown colour in the middle.
You get three colours to choose from, a little slanted eyebrow brush and a clear mascara for keeping your brows in place.

Collection Eye-brow Palette

It applies really well but I find I do have to put a bit extra on and make it a little bit darker because when you swipe on the mascara it does take some of the colour off. I'm actually tempted to take my eyebrow pencil and draw the edges and fill them in with the palette and see what happens using the mascara then.

Collection Eye-brow Palette

My brows do last all day though, which is great. This is currently on offer for £2.99, it is usually £3.99 at full price though from Boots

Have you tried this yet? What do you use on your brows? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

My Nail Care Routine

Nail Care Routine

Once a week I give my nails a really good pampering, usually on a Sunday morning and I tend to not paint my nails till the evening, giving them some breathing time.
I love doing this, my nails look really nice and healthy when you have finished and eventually over time it starts strengthening them, I really notice a difference when I don't do it, they start to break and peel so I have to keep it up every week if I want lovely nails.

I start off by filling a bowl with warm water and just recently I have been adding a cap full of bath oil to the bowl for an extra pamper. I trim my nails back down to the length I like and file them using a glass nail file. I then buff them using Models own 4 in 1 nail file.

Nail Care Routine

Using a cuticle massage cream I rub a small amount on my cuticles and up my side walls and then give them a good soak for a few minutes in the bowl of water. I use SkinTruth - the packaging is different as they have had a packaging re-model since I brought mine. I find because you only need a tiny bit for each nail it lasts for months.
Take you hands out the water and make sure you completely dry them, then take your cuticle remover - again I use SkinTruth Cuticle Remover, this also last for a good few months as you will only need a tiny bit for each nail. Use a cuticle tool or or finger wrapped in cotton wool and gently push back the cuticles and scrap away loose bits on the nail bed. Wash it off and dry your hands thoroughly.

Nail Care Routine

I then swipe my nails with an O.P.I cuticle oil, this I can't seem to find anywhere anymore, I bulk brought some beginning of last year as it was on offer and I still have one left after I finish the one I'm using. I think I will be on the hunt for a new one when I need to buy more which is a shame as I love the one I use. I also use a good hand cream and rub it into my hands I am currently using No7 Protect & Perfect Hand Cream.

Nail Care Routine

I let that do it's thing, usually topping up the hand cream through out the day and then in the evening I will sit down and pick out a colour and give them a lovely polish. When they are fully dry I give them another swipe with the cuticle oil and hand cream.

Do you give your hands a good pamper? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

No7 Beautiful Skin Set

No7 Beautiful Skin Set

I got this Boots No7 Beautiful Skin Set for Christmas and have finally gotten around to using it.
In the set I got the Completely Quenched Body Milk, Blissful Body Wash and the Sumptuous Bath Milk

The first thing you notice really is the packaging, it is beautiful and does look great in your bathroom.

The first item I tried was the Bath Milk. I only needed a little of this in the bath, I'm thinking I can get about five baths out of this. In this we have Rosehip and Macadamia oils with skin softening ingredients to help gently moisturise your skin. This is also hypo-allergenic.
The smell when you have poured it into your bath is amazing! I can't really put my finger on the exact smell it reminds me of but trust me it is a gorgeous smell.

No7 Beautiful Skin Set

Being in the bath up next was the Blissful Body Wash. I was actually really impressed with this, I squeezed out a walnut sized amount onto a shower puff and it foamed up brilliantly, in fact it foamed up so much I could have covered my body twice it was that good.
This has grapeseed oil to help prevent dryness and again is hypo-allergenic. This is also a beautiful smell, it actually smells the same as the Bath Milk, which I was happy about. If your looking for a new body wash, I definitely recommend this one, I was extremely happy with it myself.

No7 Beautiful Skin Set

Lastly is the Completely Quenched Body Milk. Included in this one is shea butter and anti-oxident vitamin E to help soften and smooth the skin and protect your skin to. It is a nice lightweight milk and is formulated to moisturise and care for your skin for 48 hours.
This also smells like the other to products, which I think is great as then you don't smell of all different products. I can only really describe it at this point (and after spending nearly 10 minutes smelling everything again) as a fancy, luxury spa product kind of smell. My skin certainly felt really soft and looked healthy by the time I'd finished.

No7 Beautiful Skin Set

Overall I am extremely pleased I got this set. I think I will be definitely investing in these products again in the future.
If you want to try them you can find them in Boots Stores or Online:
Boots currently have on a 3 for 2 offer so if you did want to try these now would be a great time to go get them!

Have you tried these products or anything else from this range? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Beauty Goals For 2016

Normally I don't set myself beauty goals but this year I have decided I really do need to as there are a couple of things in particular that I do need to do, so setting myself some goals is perfect.
Beauty is supposed to be fun but it has become quite an essential part of our lives. If you think you look great then it helps you to be confident, have a great day etc.
a couple of my goals are things I feel I need to do others are just something I want to learn to do.

Beauty Goals For 2016...

1. Master my skincare - This is one that I need to do! I have quite dry skin and so far the creams etc I have tried I feel haven't done much for me. My skin still looks dull and lifeless and I have terrible dryness and tightening skin so I really need to find a brand that really helps me with this.

2. Exfoliate more - Again another thing I need to do. I exfoliate once a week, body and face. My body is fine with just doing it once a week but my face not so much, I just keep forgetting to do it but I am really going to try and do it at least twice a week and see if this does actually help with maybe brightening up my skin a bit more.

3. Try and master my hair - I really hate my hair it is fine and unmanageable. I've just had some layers put in it but I need to try and master a good blow-dry. I'm getting a bit sick of it looking limp, although with the wind there's not a lot I can do as one tiny bit of wind and it look's like I've been dragged through a bush.

4. Master the winged eyeliner. I have tried and failed at this in the past but this this year I am determined to get it right.

5. Find the perfect red lipstick. With my pale skin red can look quite shocking, however I love a good red lippy so I really want to find one that will suit my skin tone.

So I don't have to many goals but they are hopefully all achievable. Do you have any beauty goals you are aiming for?

No7 Blackberry Nail Polish

No7 Blackberry Nail polish

I love dark polishes in the Autumn/Winter and Boots No7 polish in Blackberry is perfect for this time of year. I actually brought this one around Christmas 2014 and I have used it quite a lot since buying it. It's a good polish to have if you want a dark colour but you don't want to paint your nails black.

The brush is a great shape and size, it allows you to paint most of your nail in one swipe and it's rounded so it fits your nails great without having to do much of a clean up around your cuticles.
I had to paint on three coats to make it nice and opaque as two coats wasn't quite enough.

No7 Blackberry Nail polish

No7 Blackberry Nail polish

It lasts a good few day as well (probably last longer if you wear gloves whilst washing up - which I must start doing!) Add a top coat and it is super shiny.
The thing I love about Boots is that this polish is £6.00 to buy but every month or two Boots seem to give out vouchers for £3.00 off No7 make-up and this includes nail polish so you could actually buy this for £3.00 if you have one.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

Rimmel wake me up concealer

Believe it or not it has only been recently that I have actually been using concealer....Shock horror right? I used to just wack my foundation on and use some white eye-shadow in my tear duck area to try and cover my dark circles. It made it look a little better but not brilliant. A few weeks ago though i decided to give it a go, thinking it wouldn't really work wonders.

I decided to go with Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer mostly because of the name really, I have been waking up at night recently and I wanted to look like I'd not had 5 hours sleep.
I have to be honest I was shocked by how well it worked. I now look wide awake and fresh faced even if I have had a bad night's sleep.

I went a light shader than my skin tone and applied it to my dark circles in a triangle rather than in a semi circle as I wanted to make sure they were fully covered. The wand that comes with it is great, nice and little so you can get in there and it applied the concealer well. You get just the right amount of concealer on the wand as well for each eye.

Rimmel wake me up concealer

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

I'm not completely sure how I ever got on before not using concealer...or what I was thinking!!
After using this there is no going back now.

The price is good to at only £5.49 from Boots. It may be on the cheaper side but it's Rimmel so you know you are still getting a really good quality product from a brand we all know.

Unlike me I bet everyone has used concealer for a while, have you tried this one though? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

My No Resolution Year!

My No Resolution Year!

With each new year come new resolutions, I myself every year want to change something whether it be in my life or something about myself. This year however I am not setting myself any resolutions!
There are things I want to do, don't get me wrong but they are not going to be things I want to try and aim to do, these are things that I am going to do!

These are the things like pushing my Etsy Store even more, as this is my main source of income it kind of makes sense right? Why wouldn't I? If I don't push it, I don't make a living.
We are moving this year! Again this is not something that we aim to do, it will be happening this year. This is a scary thing we are doing though as we are moving out of the Staffordshire area and moving all the way down to Exeter. Moving will be something that is best for everyone though, We have agreed that to move would mean a better life for us and the kids.

As for the resolutions, mine always seem the same - exercise more and eat healthier.
There is a reason why it is my main resolution every year - I suck at it!
So I don't eat like a rabbit and I can't be bothered to exercise, do you know what? I've accepted the fact I won't look like Cheryl Cole (who lets be honest, seems a bit to on the skinny side these days) but that's ok. My boyfriend loves me the way I am and isn't that what is most important? In fact he has said in the past that I was to skinny and he was afraid to brake me if he hugged me to hard. I have a slight bit of a tummy now but I've had two children so I'm not going to be stick thin again.
The problem is we look at all these celebrity's who look amazing and completely perfect and guess what they aren't, practically all celebrity's these days are photo-shopped to look perfect. So why are we trying to look like something that isn't real? I am just as guilty of this as anyone but I have decided over the last month or two to stop doing this, concentrate on myself and ignore what others look like. We are all beautiful in our own way so lets highlight our beautiful bits and stop looking at the negative.

Here's to a happy year where we are all ourselves and not trying to be something we aren't!

Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation

Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation

I have been after a new foundation for a little while now, however with my pale skin it can be quite tricky to pick one up that goes with my skin tone. Sometimes even the lightest colours can look a little on the orange side on me. I also wanted one that would give that healthy look to my skin. After spending about 15 minutes in Boots looking around I found Collection's Illuminating Touch Foundation, and best of all it suits my skin!

The first thing I found with this foundation was how well it covered but still making your skin look natural. It lasts well through the day as well, I noticed that when I'm about to take my make-up off at night it still has the same coverage, which is fantastic as that is something I look for in a foundation. Who wants to be topping up their make-up through out the day?

Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation

The foundation is slightly on the runny side but to be honest once it's on the back of your hand and your using your brush it really doesn't make much of a difference to me. In fact I find because it's slightly runny it makes it better for blending in. It is great for building up slowly as well, you can start with a little and keep adding to it till you have the coverage you are looking for.

Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation

I find it oxidises well and quite quickly to. Usually it can take about 20 minutes for foundation to oxidise but I have found 10 minutes and it's at the colour it should be. Once it has oxidised it leaves you with a lovely healthy, dewy look. I certainly agree with Collection's description of this foundation - "your skin but better".
You can buy this from Boots for just £5.99.

Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below.
