Fun Edition Love Hearts Carex Soap | Good Enough To Eat

Fun Edition Love Hearts Carex Soap | Good Enough To Eat | Tea And Beauty

I love Carex soap in fact it is all I will use. They don't seem to dry my hands out nearly enough as other brands do. Don't get me wrong we are at that time of year where rubbing hand cream in has gone up a notch, my skin is terrible when the weather turns, it goes dry and itchy - not good. However I have noticed over the lat couple of years it's not as bad when I am using Carex so when I saw their Love Hearts edition I just had to get it...

With having a family I much prefer soaps that kill bacteria and Carex does just that in fact it removes dirt and kills 99.9% of bacteria - fantastic. It is also dermatologically tested and has a blend of moisturisers to keep hands soft and supple.

This has a gorgeous sweet smell and as much as Matt first stuck his nose up at it, he was soon saying how much he liked it, my youngest even said he loved it as it smelt like pink peaches (no idea what they are but hey ho). So it is fair to say it's a winner in our house and it looks pretty in the bathroom.

Fun Edition Love Hearts Carex Soap | Good Enough To Eat | Tea And Beauty

This scent is inspired to smell like british sweeties and wow does it! It really does actually smell like sweets, it's truly amazing. I am always trying to get it into the boys heads to wash their hands after using the toilet, trust me they are boys if they think they can get away with it they will *gross*, but they both actually want to wash their hands now we have been using this so not only is this great for adults wanting to reminisce about the old sweets we used to eat, but it is great for kids too.

You can find the Carex Love Hearts Soap in Boots for just £1.85.

Have you tried this soap yet, what are your thoughts?

Moving Home And Back To School

Moving Home And Back To School | Tea And Beauty

Helloo and welcome to the brand new look Tea And Beauty, I am loving the new theme, if you are on your mobile then check it out on the website too - trust me it's amazing!

It has been a week now since we moved into our new home and we now finally have internet *yay*. It took a few days as it turned out there was a fault on the line and you don't realise just how much you miss having broadband till you don't have it.

It has been a really mad week, trying to sort the house out and find a place for everything. You don't realise how much stuff you have till you move. Even now I am still attempting to try and find a place for some bits.

Along with moving I have also decided to go back to school, and I have started a beauty course. I have always been interested in beauty from my teenage years and as I got older I grew more passionate about it. So it seemed like the logical course for me to do.

Moving Home And Back To School | Tea And Beauty

I have been learning all about the different skin types, the functions of our skins and soon I will be touching on make up and nails. I have always thought that you are never to old to learn new things, in fact it is what keeps our minds sharp. Plus new courses mean new stationary, as if I needed another reason to buy a pretty notebook.
I would in the future like to do a more advanced make up course as again I love make up and would love to know the ins and outs of it all and get a better feel of applying it etc really.

Moving Home And Back To School | Tea And Beauty

I am so excited for the future right now. So far life in Devon is great and the best thing we did and I am looking forward to including my beauty course into work.

Home Decor | Small Things That Make A Difference

Home Decor | Small Things That Make A Difference | Tea And Beauty

Now we have moved into our new house we are looking at making it really nice and cosy. This means new cushions, bedding, ornaments, we are even wanting a brand new sofa.
As I was walking through the high street I wandered into a shop called The Original Factory Shop, I was actually really impressed as I found so many nice little ornaments and other bits and pieces, along with copper kitchen items which I am determined to pick up at some point.

I ended up picking a few little bits out that were actually very cheap but really nice and make a difference to our house.
One was a little sign with the saying "All you need is love and a good cup of tea". This was right up my street. It looks great hung up in our kitchen. It is a ceramic shaped tea cup hanging on a little wire hanger. Can you believe this was only £2.00...

Home Decor | Small Things That Make A Difference | Tea And Beauty

I also picked up a black wooden sign that says "Family is where our story begins, life is wonderful with great family by your side". Who couldn't agree more with that statement, this is also hung up in our kitchen and is right on point for us. This move has been huge for all of us but it has been made so much easier with having each other. This was also £2.00.

Home Decor | Small Things That Make A Difference | Tea And Beauty

The last thing I got was actually for Matt, he has so much crap shoved on the kitchen worktops from his wallet, change to just random chewing gums packets etc that it needed a place. So as I was looking about I came across a gorgeous grey and white owl bowl, it was perfect for him to put this stuff on without making it all look a mess. This was £4.00 and it is so nice I am contemplating picking one up for myself, you know for blogging purposes of course!

Home Decor | Small Things That Make A Difference | Tea And Beauty

What I love is that it all ties in nicely with the kitchen, we seem to have a grey and white colour scheme going on and these little bits just make the kitchen a bit fancier but also looking cosy. I will certainly be going back in there to see what else they have in the future.

Younique Moodstruck Addiction Eye Palette

Younique Moodstruck Addiction Eye Palette | Tea And Beauty

I love a good eye shadow palette but I do find that finding a good one is hard to do these days, I have had many where the powders just aren't very pigmented or they break for no reason what so ever. So I gave Younique's Moodstruck Addiction Palette a go.

There are five palette's to choose from but I went for palette 1, this is a beautiful natural coloured palette that is perfect for everyday use.
The first thing I noticed, other than the beautiful colours of course, is just how pigmented these really are. I swiped my finger over the top and the colour was really bold.

Younique Moodstruck Addiction Eye Palette | Tea And Beauty

There is a mix of matte and shimmery colours and each one can be used individually or together for a smokey look. However what I also loved was that if like me you use a brown eyebrow pencil, this doubles up as a eye shadow palette and an eyebrow powder. I have been using Chipper on my brows and it has been fantastic. It hasn't lifted or worn off at all during the day and it happens to be very blendable.

Overall this has been a big staple in my make up routine lately, the colours in this palette are going to be fantastic for autumn and winter. There's nothing better than a beautiful golden eye in autumn to go with the golden leaves.

This retails at £38.00 and is just so worth it. You can find it in my Younique shop.

Up And Moving!

Up and Moving | Tea And Beauty

So about a month ago now we decided to move from the Midlands, 350 miles away to a place called Honiton in Devon. This was something that we had been thinking about for a while, but when Matt had a phone call saying his transfer had come through earlier than expected, he decided to just go for with it.

Due to planning to do it next year, we weren't actually in a place to move, but thankfully for us we have family here that were willing to help us and put us up till we got a house sorted. We have been here nearly a month now and it's fair to say we are all glad we did it, it has been the best decision we ever made.

Non of us have been homesick and even the kids have said many times how much they love it here, and that they don't want to go back to Burton. They have been doing fantastic at school and have both settled in extremely well.

Whilst I have been looking for a job, I have continued to work my make up and skincare business. I actually only set this up a week before we found out we were moving - not ideal but never mind. This however has given me chance to explore the sites of Honiton a little bit.
My favourite place so far has to be The Glen, it's a lovely little place where people go to walk their dogs or just to generally take a stroll. It is almost like a mini forest area, full of trees, a little river but also has an open area to sit in the sun and have a picnic.

There are plenty of places to eat as well, and Exeter is a 25 minute train journey where they have all the big stores like John Lewis, Next, Selfridges the list goes on.

As I sit here writing this, I am also getting ready to move into our own house next Tuesday, we have found a beautiful three bed-roomed house, with a garden, a bathroom and a toilet room downstairs but best of all there is a built in fridge freezer, washer/dryer and a dishwasher. I will admit the dishwasher sold me alone, I have always wanted one and I am finally getting one. Although Christmas won't be the same now, it has become tradition that I cook the dinner and Matt washes the pots whilst putting the Christmas music on. However when I mentioned this I got told to get lost, the dishwasher will be used *haha*.

I will over the next few weeks share more of Honiton and even our house once it's all set up with you.

Essential Oils Worth A Try | Eden's Semilla

Essential Oils Worth A Try | Eden's Semilla | Tea And Beauty

If you saw my last post, you will have seen my review on Eden's Semilla Jojoba Oil and that I loved it. So when Eden's Semilla got back in touch with me, asking if I wanted to try out their new range of essential oils, it was really a no brainer.

I got sent a whopping 12 bottles of oils to try, all in different scents. The scents I received where:
Tea Tree
Lemongrass
Rosemary
Frankincense
Sweet Orange
Eucalyptus
Sandle-wood
Peppermint
Pine Tree
Lavender
Cinnamon
Bergamot

The oils contain 12 of the most popular plant extracts used by aromatherapy professionals, they have a potent healing quality that helps to rejuvenate and cleanse, it have an intense aroma for rest and relaxation and are pure with natural goodness for total peace of mind.

Sweet Orange - This is an antibacterial air cleanser with a fruity fragrance. This enhances energy levels and helps to combat fatigue.

Essential Oils Worth A Try | Eden's Semilla | Tea And Beauty

There is surely going to be an oil for everyone, no matter what you are after. You also don't need a lot of these whether it's in a bath or an oil burner as they are very well scented, but not overly scented that it hit's you in the face as soon as you walk in the room.

These can be found on Amazon, set one is tea tree, lemon grass, rosemary and frankincense. Set three is sweet orange, eucalyptus, sandle-wood and peppermint. Then you can find pine tree, lavender, cinnamon and bergamot individually. They range from £1.99 - £4.49 individually or the sets are £7.50 for four.

Do you use essential oils? Which scent is your favorite?

Trying Out A New Facial Oil | Eden's Semilla Jojoba Oil

Eden's Semilla Jojoba Oil | Tea And Beauty

I love a good facial oil, they can really make your skin go from bleugh to wow, so when I had the chance to try Eden's Semilla Jojoba Oil* I jumped at the chance.

The first thing you notice is this is quite a thick oil, probably the thickest I've used so far, past oils have still been on the thinner side. The other thing would be the smell, it's not bad but it's not really nice either. However you really don't notice once you start to rub it in to your skin anyway.

The great thing about this is you literally only need 2-3 drops, and the bottle comes with a pipette so you can get the exact amount. This bottle will last you a very long time with so little amount needed. I use 3 drops and that covers both my face and neck well.

Eden's Semilla Jojoba Oil | Tea And Beauty

I have found that if I gently rub it into my skin straight after using my toner, and whilst my skin is still a bit damp from the toner, you get an even better result.
After just one week my skin was softer and more supple, it was even starting to look healthier with a lovely little glow.
I have recently had a bit of a breakout around my chin and neck area and using this oil has actually helped clear them up quicker than if I didn't use an oil. If you do suffer from spots, oils are actually a good idea as they balance out your skins natural oils, even using this just 2-3 times a week will certainly help.

Eden's Semilla Jojoba Oil | Tea And Beauty

This can actually be use for your hair and nails to, I haven't tried this on my hair but it did do wonders for my nails as well. I get quite dry cuticles and this has really helped put the moisture back into them. Just one drop on each nail is enough.

You can purchase Eden's Semilla Jojoba Oil* from Amazon for just £10.95.

Younique Make-Over

Younique Make-Over | Tea And Beauty

I'm sure at this point everyone has heard of Younique Make Up, well I have a friend called Leanne on Facebook who actually sells this brand, and she was after 12 faces for a 12 faces in 30 days challenge. This entailed her doing a make over on 12 lovely ladies. I was definitely interested as I had sampled the foundation and loved it, so it was a good way of seeing how good the other products were.

As you can see from the photo above there is rather quite a difference! I have quite good skin now since using the No7 Beautiful Skin face creams, but it is still quite red and patchy in places, along with the odd breakout at the moment (no thanks to the heat). However I wasn't expecting my skin to look as flawless as it does.

Unique Make-Over | Tea And Beauty

Whilst Leanne was here she actually sorted my eyebrows out for me. I was telling her that when I went for an eyebrow wax I asked that they even them out for me, however they did not so she very kindly did it for me.  They look fantastic and the eyebrow pencil and fibre wand she used on them make them look so good. I find some medium shades to still be to dark, however the medium shade from Younique is actually rather perfect on me.

The eye-shadow's are beautiful and sparkly, they are really pigmented and last all day. Leanne did a lovely winged eye-liner, which I am always a bit to afraid to try myself. The good thing is I found when it came to taking it off, it washed off extremely well. I find pencil eye-liners to be quite stubborn sometimes. The eye-shadow palette was Moodtruck Addiction in Palette 1.

Unique Make-Over | Tea And Beauty

The blusher is beautiful and so pigmented Leanne only tapped the brush onto the blusher once or twice and that was more than enough as it went on so well and the colour was beautiful.
As for the lipstick we went with a lovely berry tone called loaded and it lasts so well, again very pigmented.

Unique Make-Over | Tea And Beauty

I'll admit I am extremely pleased with the end result and I am definitely going to have to purchase the foundation. I've yet to find one that gives such a flawless look.

Unique Make-Over | Tea And Beauty

If you would like to purchase any Younique products you can buy them from my site, you don't even have to leave your sofa. Thanks to Leanne amazing me with these amazing products I have decided to sell them myself, that is how amazing I think they really are.

My Goals For The Future

My Goals For The Future | Tea And Beauty

I have been thinking recently about all the things I'd like to do in the future, they are things that are pretty much do-able as well, which makes it even better to actually achieve them. I hate making goals that I know I really won't be able to pull off. So today I thought I would share with you that list...

1. Move house next year
This is actually something we are already saving for and looking into. Now when I say move house, what I should really put is move out of the county. We currently live in the Midlands, however we really want to move down to Exeter. It would be good for everyone, so many great places to go to like the beach and plenty of places if you just fancy going out for a walk one Sunday as a family. Fingers crossed everything goes as planned.

2. Get a dog
This is something we have thought of with moving, currently we aren't allowed pets in the apartment we are renting now. Moving to Exeter, there are so many places to go out for a walk and having a dog is something we really do want. The kids would love one to and I generally think all round it's a great idea. We have decided we would like either an English Bulldog or a Dalmatian. Bulldogs are my favorite dogs and my partners to, however they are rather on the expensive side. In case we decide not to go with a Bulldog, we also thought of a Dalmatian, we actually know someone who had one for years and she really was the most loveliest dog you'd meet.  Obviously with the kids we wanted a friendly, family dog. I am however a strong believer of it's the owner not the dog.

3. Get married
I have been with my partner for just over 13 years and 3 months (almost) and engaged for almost 13 years. We met in May and he asked me to marry him in August, now people may say that was a bit soon, but when you know you know right? Plus we have been together just over 13 years as I said so clearly we were meant to be. We have not actually gotten round to getting married, not that we haven't tried, but you just don't realise how expensive weddings are until you start looking into them. We almost did it last year but then something came up and we couldn't do it. However I am determined, we were looking at doing it abroad actually, which is much cheaper and you are guaranteed nice weather, depending on where you go, unlike lovely England where it can rain at the drop of a hat.

4. Really try and make something of my blog
I love blogging and it would be great if I could really step it up and try and make something out of it. Just recently I have had a new look and tweaked some of the pages and sidebar a bit. It still feels like a bit of a working progress but I feel I am getting there. Now I just want to write even better content and step up my writing and even my pictures.

5. Go to Paris
I have been to Orlando and New York but Paris is on the list of places I really want to go to. To go and visit the Eiffel Tower, eat pasties and walk round all the shops, it just seems so lovely and romantic.

What are the things you want to do in the future?

My August Book List

My August Book List | Tea And Beauty

Another month and another book list! This month's books are ones I have been wanting to read for a while now and I am finally getting around to reading them. Two are actually fairly old books and one is brand spanking new out this month.

The Wild Girl by Kate Forsyth

My August Book List | Tea And Beauty

Once upon a time there were six sister's. Te pretty one, the musical one, the clever one, the helpful one, the young one...
And then there was the wild one.
Dortchen Wild has loved Wilhelm Grimm since she was a young girl. Under the forbidding shadow of her father and the tyranny of Napoleon's army, the pair meet secretly to piece together a magical fairy tale collection.
The story behind the stories of the Brothers Grimm.

Where We Belong by Emily Giffin

My August Book List | Tea And Beauty

Marian Caldwell is a television producer, living her dream in New York City. With a fulfilling career and relationship, she has convinced everyone, including herself, that her life is just where she wants it to be. But one night Marian answers a knock on the door...
Only to find Kirby Rose, and eighteen year old girl with a key to the past that Marian thought she had sealed off forever.
From the moment Kirby appears on her doorstep, Marian's perfectly constructed world - and her very identity - will be shaken to it's core, resurrecting memories of a passionate young love affair that threaten everything that has come to define her.
For the prcious and determined Kirby, the encounter will force her to re-evaluate her family and future. As the two women embark on a journey to find the one thing missing in their lives, each will come to realise that where we belong is often where we least expect to find ourselves - a place that we may have willed ourselves to forget, but that the heart remembers forever.

Sunset In Central Park by Sarah Morgan

My August Book List | Tea And Beauty

True love can be hard to find, even when it's been right under your nose all along...
After witnessing the fallout of her parent's divorce, love has never been a priority for garden designer Frankie Cole. The only man in her life is her friend Matt - but that's strictly platonic. If only she found it easier to ignore how he makes her heart race...
Matt Walker has loved Frankie for years, but has always played it cool. Until he discovers new depth's to the girl he's known forever, and doesn't want to wait a moment longer.
Matt knows Frankie has secrets and has buried them deep, but can he persuade her to kiss him under the Manhattan sunset?

The Wild Girl actually isn't usually the sort of books I would read, but that is exactly why I want to read it. I love a good fairy tale but giving it maybe a darker side, might make for a very good read.
Where we belong just sounded like a good read as soon as I heard about it, it reminds me slightly of Landline by Rainbow Rowell and I loved that book, so I'm hoping this will be just as good.
As for Sunset in Central Park, I read the first book in the series, Sleepless In Manhattan, and loved it so much I went straight ahead and pre-ordered this book and the next one.
Plus with two of the books being set in New York, it will remind me of when we went there, and I do really miss it and really wish we could go back.

Have you read any of these? What's on your reading list for August?

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Range

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Range | Tea And Beauty

Just recently I have been really uping my hair game, never have I used a weekly hair mask so much or even styled my hair using actual hair products. I am generally a lazy person when it come to my hair, I will wash it the night before and just leave it to dry naturally. However when I came across the Coco Loco Range in Boot's a couple of month's ago I just knew I had to try it.

Coconut is all so very popular at the moment, and it's not hard to see why with it's super moisturising properties. I have fine, thin hair and it is a struggle to do anything with it. My hairdresser has said multiple times how my hair is in such good condition, so that is not a problem but thickening it up is. I have used multiple shampoo and conditioners plus serums etc that claim to thicken your hair, but alas nothing actually seemed to work. Until that is I started using the Coco Loco shampoo and conditioner. Imagine my surprise when my hairdresser turned round to me and said my hair felt thicker. I was so happy and to think at that point I had only been using it for about a week to a week and a half, so if it can thicken my hair in that amount of time can you imagine what it's been doing long term?!

My hair has felt super smooth, moistursed and oh so soft since using the shampoo and conditioner, you definitely notice the difference just whilst washing it. The shampoo does make your hair feel thicker and so by the time you have rinsed the conditioner out I am left with super smooth, soft hair. I haven't even mentioned just how amazing it smells to, because it really does. It smells so good I want to eat it, so coco-nutty and exotic.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Range | Tea And Beauty

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Range | Tea And Beauty

After washing my hair I leave it wrapped up in a loose towel for 5-10 minutes and then rub a pea sized amount of the Coco Loco Coconut Balm through my hair. This is a solid moisturising balm that melts into an oil in your hands. This protects, smooths and lets you style your hair, again it has been doing wonders for my hair. Even though my hair is generally in good condition, it does sometimes feel slightly dry but since using this I haven't had that once. you can use this on wet or dry hair as well. With it turning into an oil you really don't need a lot at all, I use a pea sized amount and because of this the tin lasts you ages.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Range | Tea And Beauty

Before drying my hair I pop in some Coco Loco Blow & Go Genius Lotion this amazing little thing does eleven things *Wow*. It improves shine, adds softness, conditions, smooths, strengthens, nourishes, improves comb-ability, helps repair damaged hair, protects against humidity, protects against colour fade and has heat protection. That is amazing am I right? I don't use much of this either, just a brazil nut sized amount will do you, and I apply it to my mid-lengths and ends. It does make drying my hair so much easier as it de-tangles my hair very well and doesn't dry my hair out whilst drying it.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Range | Tea And Beauty

You can buy the Coco Loco Range from £4.99.
